Manor houses

The city of Viana has a good number of manor houses that are spread all over the historic site. The coats of arms are part of the physiognomy of the city.
Most of these buildings were built in the most important streets of the city: in Rúa Mayor, today Santa María, in the section that runs from Plaza de los Fueros to Plaza del Coso, and in Calle Navarro Villoslada, in the stretch from the town hall to the old parish church of San Pedro.
The Ripa house, the Elizalde House, the Estanga House and the Ichaso House, on Santa María street, and the Muzquiz and Aldunate House, the Peso and Alhondiga House, the Estanga House, the Aldunate House, the Pérez de Lanciego House, currently the House of Culture, the Ezpeleta-Guendulaín House and the Pujadas House, on Navarro Villoslada street, bear good witness to these constructive legacies.
The Cereceda House, "El Palacio", at number 20 of Calle Tidón, was, according to tradition, the place of residence of Cesare Borgia during his stay in Viana.
In the Plaza del Coso it is worth to highlight the Unda y Garibay House and in the Plaza de los Fueros the Casa del Diezmo.
