The most important event that has occurred in this place is the dictation of the will of Queen Isabella of Castile (October 12, 1504) and her subsequent death (November 26 of the same year).

The building, which dates back to the 13th century, was used as a royal residence, although after the reign of the Catholic Monarchs and numerous historical vicissitudes, it ended up becoming a prison and later the Medina town hall itself.

In 2004 it was enabled as an interpretation center on Queen Isabella of Castile, her relationship with Medina and her will.
