Hermitage of San Antón

In the urban nucleus, on San Antonio street, is this small hermitage dedicated to San Antonio Abad.

The hermitage, with whitewashed masonry walls, is covered with tiles on a single slope towards the street.

The entrance door is made of wood with a peephole under a semicircular arch.

Its interior is vaulted, separated into two sections by an arch starting from pilasters. On a simple shelf in the front is the small image of the owner.

The Festival of San Antonio Abad is celebrated on January 17 and is one of the festivals that, due to its tradition, is one of the most important in Castellnovo.
